Obituary for James "Dan" Danny Lucas

James "Dan" Danny Lucas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and quiet kindness that will not be forgotten.

Known to most as Dan, he lived a life defined by dedication-to his family, and the values he held close. He was someone people could rely on, whether for a helping hand, steady advice, or simply a reassuring presence. His character was marked by humility, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved.

Dan found joy in life's simple moments-time spent with family, laughter shared over familiar stories, and the comfort of home. Above all, he took immense pride in his family. He is survived by his four children, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren, each of whom he loved unconditionally.

Dan was extremely proud of being an Army veteran and serving his country in the Vietnam war.

A service to honor Dan's life will be held at a Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Fenton, MO. The family invites those who knew him to remember him not only in sorrow, but in gratitude for the time shared and the memories made.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
