Jacquelyn "Jackie" Elaine Thurm Godi, born April 3, 1942, to Laverne and Clement Thurm, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. Jackie was the beloved firstborn daughter of her parents and lived a life marked by strength, generosity, and lasting friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Clement Thurm; her sister, Judith Ann Thurm Fritz; her brother-in-law, William A. "Bill" Fritz; and her husband, Bernard "Bernie" Godi.l Jackie is survived by her son, Frank Rae Thurman of Arnold, Missouri; her brother, Ken Thurm and his wife Tina of Orange, California; her brother, Michael Thurm of California; her nieces and nephews; and many loving friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Jackie worked most of her career as a CNC Lathe Technician at Von Weiss Gear Motor Company, from which she retired. She was known for her skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Jackie was known for her generous heart and her special love for children, especially those who needed kindness and encouragement. She found great joy in helping others and was always willing to lend a hand or offer support to those around her. Jackie was also very spontaneous and had a wonderful talent for putting a smile on everyone's face.
Jackie loved to travel and saw much of the world while traveling with her senior group. She was truly a St. Louis girl who loved the Cardinal baseball team, the Kansas City Chiefs, and all the shows, events, and activities that St. Louis has to offer.
For the last 2 years Jackie lived at Solstice Senior Living in Fenton where she made fast friends and enjoyed numerous activities, her favorite being Bingo.
Jackie will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, her lively spirit, and the meaningful connections she shared with family and friends throughout her life. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at the Arnold VFW hall on April 12, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in loving memory of Jacquelyn E Godi to the Mended Hearts nonprofit organization an organization dedicated to supporting heart patients and their families at (Themendedhearts.harnessgiving.org)
