"Jack Robert Hrevus, lovingly referred to as "Jack-Jack," gained his angel wings on 3/10/21. Jack was diagnosed with a rare disease (HLH) at just 3 months old and fought a tenacious fight for the next 5 months. In January 2021, Jack underwent a bone marrow transplant in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jack had post transplant complications, which ultimately led to his passing. Jack and his "sweet cheeks" had a way of making everyone fall in love with him, and his personality had a way of keeping everyone on their toes. The hospital staff lovingly referred to Jack as "The Boss" several times. Jack always enjoyed snuggles, holding hands, checking out what everyone was doing and music. Jack is survived by his proud parents Donald ("Jake") Hrevus and Jessica Lynn Streit-Hrevus, his brother William Donald Hrevus, his grandparents Billie Barth, Bob and Carol Streit, Terry and Donald Hrevus, his great grandmother Mary Hrevus, multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude and love for the hospital staff at both Cardinal Glennon here in St. Louis and at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. If desired, friends and family may make memorial contributions to the family to go towards a donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati in Jack's honor."
