Henry "Hank" Davis, born in West Alton, MO, passed away peacefully in St. Louis on July 30, 2024 at the age of 92. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing. Henry was the beloved husband of Bernice Davis (nee Zinselmeier) for 67 years. He is survived by his wife Bernice, his daughters Cathleen and Jeanean Davis, his grandchildren Steven and Carri Banholzer, and his sisters Margaret Orf of St. Charles, MO, and Sandra Martin of Caseyville, IL. Henry was a veteran of the Korean War, serving for 18 months in Korea with the 7th Division, 57th Field Artillery, 105 Howitzers, Battery A, providing direct support for the 31st Infantry Division. Henry was a devout Catholic and joyful spirit who loved baking pies, growing roses, playing golf, swimming, and dancing. Above all, he cherished his family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Fredricka Schrader Davis Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. AJ officiating. Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery, near Lemay, MO. with Military Honors.
