Helen Love (nee Schlapper) born November 29, 1916 on the family farm in Shell Lake, WI, died August 14, 2015 after a series of strokes. She was an Army nurse during World War II. After WW ll, she worked as an industrial nurse at Nooters Corporation in St. Louis, MO, where she met her late husband, Clarence K. "Pat" Love. Helen is survived by her son, Michael Kenneth Love, Mike's wife, Gloria Miccioli, Helen's grandchildren, Claire Pia Love, grandson-in-law Eric Fill, and grandson, Patrick Kenneth Love; and Helen's daughter Marilyn Love Hoemann, Marilyn's husband, Keith Hoemann, Helen's grandchildren, Neil Keith Hoemann, Craig William Hoemann, and Stephanie Love Hanna, Stephanie's husband, E. Mead Hanna and Helen's great-grandchildren, Carson Scott Hanna and Rosalie Helen Hanne. After taking almost a decade off to raise Mike and Marilyn, Helen returned to work as a night nurse at Jewish Hospital ultimately becoming the Night Medical Nursing Supervisor. Helen was an active member of Maplewood United Methodist Church as a longtime Sunday school teacher. After her retirement, she worked in the church thrift shop into her 80's. For the past several years she resided at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. Louis.
