Georgia Carol Bolte, 78, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025. Born on March 1, 1947, in St. Louis, Carol was the beloved daughter of George Norman Cole, Sr. and Vira Earlene Dickerson Cole. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to her family. Her vibrant spirit was evident in everything she did. She had an enduring love for life and found joy in the simplest pleasures-especially in tending to her plants. With a green thumb and a nurturing heart, she even grew exotic plants from as far away as Hawaii. Her passion for nature extended to animals of all kinds, and she had a soft spot for every creature she encountered. An old soul with a lively beat, Carol loved oldies music and could often be found dancing to the songs that brought her joy and reminded her of good times gone by. She will be remembered for her warmth, her smile, and her unwavering love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and a life well-lived. Carol is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Darlene "Dutchie" Cole and Marsha Laramore; and one brother, Willard G. "Sonny" Cole. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Bolte; one son, Joe Bates and daughter-in-law, Jo A. Bates; four grandchildren, Zachary Austin Bates, Jaydon Michael Bates, Jeremy Uzzle and Brian Uzzle; three sisters, Jeri Vaughn, Grace Arciniega, and Sandy Duke; one brother, George Norman Cole Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 9AM at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Loshe officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks, under the direction of Jay B.
