Loving father of Farris Jr. (Angie), Jeff, Gregg (Gina), James (Mary), step-father of Kevin (Lisa) Carman, Luann (Jim) Bockhorst, Steve (Hattie) Carman, Kelly (Dennis) Knehans and Melissa (Calvin) Wayne. Cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Farris was a 50 year active member of the High Ridge Fire Department. He joined in 1961 and he moved up to a Jr. trainer. He has held the position of Department Chief and served on the Board of Directors. He is now on the Honorary List. Memorial visitation on Sat.
