Evalee "Lee" E. Harman, 98, died peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, surrounded by family in Maplewood, Missouri. Lee, born on November 22, 1926, in New Burnside, Illinois, was the daughter of Ira and Carrie Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her parents, her son-in-law, Jim Sandberg, and three of her siblings. After graduating from Anna-Jonesboro High School in Illinois, Lee moved to St. Louis for a job in the blueprint department of Emerson Electric. In 1947, she married Thomas E. Harman - they had four children and shared more than 77 years together. Lee was an avid gardener and loved her rose bushes. She was particularly proud of her deep red Mr. Lincoln rose that is still blooming in her front garden. She enjoyed bowling and was a league bowler for many years. She accepted a part-time job at Brentwood Lanes after Tom retired and drew him into bowling as well. In her spare time, she became quite a doll collector. Lee is survived by her children, Patricia "Pat" L. Sandberg, Linda J. Harman, Thomas E. Harman (Becky), and Daniel J. Harman (Susan), 5 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
