Aldonna Mae Evans (Stude)
August 10, 1934-July 18, 2026
Aldonna (Donna) was born to Alfred and Josephine (Richard) Stude in Kinsley, Kansas and was the youngest of four children.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Alfred (Bud) Stude, Marie (Stude) Bice and Genevieve (Stude) Walker; her husband, Daniel Elroy Evans Sr. and her son, Daniel Elroy Evans Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Lois Diane (Evans) Eggers and Gail Elaine (Evans) Beers; five grandchildren; Elizabeth, Amy, James (J.R.), Sarah, and Christopher. Six great-grandchildren; Ethan, Lily, Lorelai, Sawyer, Oliver, and Emma.
Growing up in Kinsley, the family lived on a wheat farm outside of town. Donna said one of her chores was taking care of the chickens.
Her hobbies included playing the piano, sewing, drawing, playing chess, and bowling. She loved animals and had many cats and dogs throughout the years. The most famous of those being a chihuahua mix named Tori (The Terrible). He loved her, hated everyone else.
Donna attended several elementary schools in Saline, Hays, and Edward County in Kansas. When her family moved to St. Louis in 1946, she attended Overland school in the Ritenour School District, where she attended until 1951. She was very proud of being a good student.
In 1951 she met Daniel Evans and they were married on July 21, 1951.
In her working career, she first worked several jobs until 1967 when she began to work for Doane Farm Management. In 1984 she started working for Guaranteed Electric where she worked until she retired in 2009. One interesting note, she did not get her driver's license until 1974 when she was 40 years old. In 1972, Donna accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on January 16, 1972.
