Donald Gene Roth
August 16, 1955-September 5, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald G. Roth, a beloved husband, friend and community member, who departed this world peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 16, 1955, in St. Louis, Donald was the cherished so of Joseph and Pauline Roth, who preceded him in passing.
Donald, affectionately known as Don, shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Phyllis Roth, whom he married on June 5, 1987. Their enduring love and partnership have been a source of inspiration to all who knew them.
A proud serviceman, Don dedicated three years of his life in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped his character and instilled a deep sense of pride and patriotism in him. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career at UniLever, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2008.
Don was a man of many passions. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, finding freedom and joy on the open road. He also cherished his time fishing, where he found peace and tranquility, and playing pool with his friends, where his quick wit and unique sense of humor were always on display. Don had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and levity to any situation, a gift that endeared him to all who crossed his path.
In this time of mourning, Phyllis and the family wish to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate caretakers and doctors at BJC, who provided exceptional care to Don throughout his illness. Phyllis also wishes to express her heartfelt thanks to all who offered their prayers and well wishes over the past nine years, supporting them through every challenge.
In memory of Don, the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
Though he is no longer with us, Donald G. Roth's legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to known him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain a guiding light for his beloved Phyllis and all who loved him.
