Obituary

Don L. Weber, of High Ridge, Missouri, passed away May 12, 2022, at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by beloved wife Kathleen M. Weber (nee Holtgrewe), parents Monroe Weber and Mildred Rose (nee Grobe), twin brother Gene Weber, and two nephews. Don is survived by dear brothers Charles Weber (Marilyn) and Bruce Weber (Laurie), many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of special friends. Don will be fondly remembered for the love he had for life, his family, and friends. Don grew up helping on the family farm and was a graduate of Northwest High School, class of 1967. He furthered his education at Jefferson College and ultimately earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Southwest Missouri State University. Anyone who knew Don was familiar with his love for classic cars (Corvettes, in particular), baseball, and spending time with those he loved most. Don was also a member at St. Martin's United Church of Christ. He and wife Kathleen (Kathy) enjoyed cruises, vacations to Destin, Florida, and hosting pool parties, barbecues, and gatherings with family and friends. Don's employment spanned a range of interests and talents throughout the years. He spoke often of his time as an employee of Steak N' Shake and Central Hardware in his younger years, as well as his career at McDonnell Douglas, from whence he retired. Despite limitations brought on by genetic vision and hearing impairments, Don certainly had a special wit and zest for life. In the interest of honoring Don and Kathy's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. Instead, donations may be made in loving memory of Don L. Weber to Foundation Fighting Blindness at https://donate.fightingblindness.org/webdonation.
