David Russel Sperber, age 78, died February 19, 2024 after a difficult struggle with Parkinson's disease. Born December 28, 1945, David was the youngest child of Max J. and Kathryn H. Sperber. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1965 and received his Associate Degree in Communications Electronics Technologies from Ranken Technical College in 1987. In the 1970s he was a member of the Pipes and Drums of Moolah. After over 22 years of service Dave retired from Wells Fargo in 2017. He will be remembered for being a caring husband of his wife, Diane (Winkelmann), for 50 years and a loving father of his son, Andrew (Maggie) Sperber. Many friends and relatives appreciated his sense of humor and practical jokes, enjoyment of classical music, and faithful love of Christ. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, dear sister, Lois M. (Bob) Howlett, and his brother, Ron J. (Judy) Sperber. He is survived by his sister's children, dear niece, Kathryn (Kay) G. Howlett, loving nephew, Thomas (Tom) J. Howlett, and his brother's children, Geri Ann (Jim) Stephens, Donna Sperber, Debbie Bockius, Gary (Laura) Sperber, John (Louisa) Sperber, and Steve Sperber. As a single young man, he was a dear uncle and loved them all. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Community Church, 210 Chestnut Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119.
