David Scott Hoffmann, 65, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
David was born on May 24, 1960, to Dorothy (LaMont) Hoffmann and Donald F. Hoffmann. He grew up with a deep passion for hockey, spending countless hours on the ice where he excelled as goalie. His love for the sport continued throughout his life as a devoted St. Louis Blues fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer on his team.
David built a successful career as a chiropractor, owning and operating his own practice for many years. He was known for his dedication to his patients and his compassionate approach to care. After retirement, David embraced life fully, spending cherished time with friends and family, honing his skills at the pool table, and discovering the joys of card games.
David is survived by his parents, Dorothy and Donald F. Hoffmann; his children, Casey Hoffmann and Elizabeth Hoffmann; his beloved grandchildren, Hudson Ripperden, Audrey Ripperden, and Oliver Hoffmann; his older brother, Donald Hoffmann (Mary Kay); niece and nephew, Christy Hoffmann and Ian Hoffmann; and his younger sister, Donna Hermosillo (John). He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Hoffmann.
David will be remembered for his competitive spirit on the ice, his healing hands, his infectious enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His warmth, humor, and resilience in the face of illness touched all who knew him.
