Darren Matthew Andersen, age 40, passed away unexpectedly November 27th. Loving father of Brianna Lynn (8) and Benjamin Ellis (7), beloved son of Diane Andersen and the late Dale Andersen; dear brother of Derek Andersen (Debbie); super uncle to Emma and Maiya Andersen; cherished grandson of Helen Andersen, the late Robert Andersen, and predeceased grandparents Emma and Clarence Polski. He also loved and was loved by many relatives and friends. Darren was born in Minneapolis MN and moved at a young age to O'Fallon IL where he spent his school aged years. He graduated St. Louis University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and found a career in restaurant management. Growing up in the Saint Louis area, Darren was a true Cardinal baseball fan and enjoyed spending time at Busch Stadium. He shared a love for the Nebraska Cornhuskers instilled by his dad and brother. An avid bowler, he carried a 220 average and would be the "ringer" in area leagues. Sitting outside listening to music and contemplating life was a favorite pastime. Darren had a big heart that he shared with many…..Bri and Ben were the light of his life who he loved dearly. His children always brought a smile to his face, and they were the first topic of every conversation. His mother held a very special place in his heart; not only as a mom but also as a best friend. Darren was a true friend to many, never judged, saw the good in everyone, and would drop everything to help a friend. He also had a love of pets….Layla his bulldog which was raised with his children and most recently his cat Tony who found him for a home.
