Daniel L. Corpuz, age 70, born and raised in St. Louis Mo, passed away on Friday December 23, 2022. Dan resided in Liberty Township, Ohio for the last 6 years of his life. Dan was born on February 22, 1952 to the late Daniel Morris Corpuz and Mary Marie Corpuz. In 1969, Dan enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 18. He was sent overseas to Vietnam to serve his country and remained in the Corp until 1971. After his time in the service, Dan returned home and went to work at the Chrysler Plant in Fenton, Mo. He became a devoted member and leader to the U.A.W. He worked on the line and later became Financial Secretary to the Local Union 136. Dan was passionate about his work with his Union Brothers and Sisters, going out of his way to help everyone that he could. Dan was loved and respected. The highlight in Dan's life was his family. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments and the joy of his grandchildren. Dan was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan. He was always active playing sports including baseball, softball, and even racquetball and tennis. Left behind to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Martha Carol Corpuz; his loving daughter Carina Marie Ogden; son Anthony (Tony) Daniel Corpuz, cherished grandchildren, Alaina Rose Corpuz; Libby Faith Corpuz, and Mac Anthony Corpuz, dear siblings Mary Lou Miriani; Michael Rosendo Corpuz; Kathy Kay Sprinkle; and Victoria Sue Redwine. Dan will truly be missed. A memorial gathering will be held at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 777 Oakwood Dr., Fenton Mo on Thursday, January 5th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Graveside service to follow, 2:30pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
