Dale Mueller, age 77, left his earthly home Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Belleville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family and loving nurses. Dale was born in Saint Louis, MO, on Thursday, February 21, 1946, to Clyde and Ruth (nee Barkhoefer) Mueller. After high school, Dale attended the University of Missouri St Louis (UMSL) where he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree. He then joined the Navy before going on to work at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Dale married Bette Bosch on Saturday, October 20, 1979 in Bee Tree Country Park. Together they welcomed four children, Suzanne, Michael, Julie, and Steven. Dale enjoyed family vacations, especially to Pensacola Beach. He took great pride in his photography and family slide shows. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle and spending time with family. He loved to listen to music from his youth, Tommy James and the Shondells, and The Moody Blues, to name a few. Dale was employed at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency as an intelligence officer. He retired in 2013. Dale enjoyed watching sports. His favorites were cricket, baseball and horse racing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bette and his parents Clyde and Ruth Mueller. Dale was the loving father of Suzanne Ashcraft of Waco, TX, Michael Mueller of Mount Sterling, IL, Julie (Jared) Seigler of Yukon, OK and Steven (Tina) Mueller of Collinsville, IL. He was the cherished grandfather of Adalynn Seigler, Amos Seigler, Daisy Mueller, and Daniel Mueller. Dale was the dear brother of Donna (Dennis) Abeln and Sandy (Tom) Robertson. He was a Father-in-Law, Uncle, Great Uncle, and a friend to many. Visitation will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Fenton Chapel. Family and friends will process from Jay B. Smith Fenton Chapel to Jefferson Barracks, Tuesday, March 7, at 11:45. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 12:30 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
