Charles Knupp, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Born on September 21, 1930, to Curtis and Amy Emory Knupp, Charles lived a life marked by love, dedication, and unwavering kindness. On August 28, 1955, Charles married the love of his life, Phyllis Cunningham Knupp. Their nearly seven decades of marriage were filled with joy, partnership, and countless treasured memories. Together, they created a family rooted in faith and love. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Knupp; his children Larry (Carrie) Knupp and Marla (David) Beeson; his son-in-law Glenn Haley; and his cherished grandchildren Beth Broyles, Sarah Winegar, Amy Jacobi, Esther Vantleven, Rachel Fanska, Melissa Smith, and Caleb Beeson. He also leaves behind twenty adored great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Amy Knupp; his daughter Susan Haley; his brother Donald (Josephine) Knupp; and his sisters Marilyn (Tom) Glenn and Myrna Little. Charles was a man of integrity, known for his warm heart and gentle spirit. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a source of wisdom and strength, providing guidance and support to his family and friends throughout his life. Visitation will be held at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Maplewood on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at the same location on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with a gate time of 11:30 AM. Charles Knupp will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
