Charles "Chuck" Ellermann (Nov 6, 1927-Sep 14, 2020) died peacefully with family present, fortified by the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Chuck inspired others with his dedication to faith and family, hard work, and cheerfulness. He earned his B.S. in Biology in 1949 and his M.S. in Zoology in 1950 at the University of Illinois. He married Marilyn Briggs in 1951. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army 1952-1954 and was on the 6th Armor Division pistol team. He taught high school chemistry, biology, and aviation from 1954-1993 and was a private pilot and flight instructor. He is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Marilyn, and sisters Diane and Jacqueline and their families in Chicago. His family was his life. He is beloved by his five sons and daughter, Steve, Mike, Pete, Greg, Fran, and Andy, and their families. He has 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He lived life well, and we will dearly miss him.
