Catherine (Kehoe) Marheineke (formerly Catherine Graf), age 90, of Chicago, Illinois; St Louis, Missouri; and Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, surrounded by love, prayers, and music after an eight-year journey with Alzheimer's.
A 9 a.m. viewing and 10 a.m. funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 15, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 3009 High Ridge Blvd, High Ridge, MO 63049, followed by a burial service at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery at W. Randolph St., St. Charles, MO 63301. Instead of flowers, the family asks you to consider a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association or Queen City Hospice of Mason at 4605 Duke Drive, Suite 220, Mason, OH 45040.
Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Marheineke; her parents, Joseph and Mary Gertrude Kehoe; her son, Michael Graf; her sister, Mary Pat Bamford; and her grandson, William Fowler.
She is survived by brother, Daniel Kehoe; her children James Graf (Margaret), Thomas Graf (Nancy), Joseph Graf, Rosemary Levy Graf (George), Daniel Graf (Alejandra), and Teresa (Graf) Stanton (Thomas); her grandchildren Allison Graf (Oliver) and their child Nora, Kevin Graf (Gloria), and Emily Graf (Benjamin); Elizabeth Graf, Teresa Graf, and John Graf (Ashley); Christopher Fowler (Melissa); Fabiana Villegas and Avril Graf; Daniel Marco, Rachel Marco, and Ella Stanton.
Catherine loved music and taught piano for over 40 years. She played the organ and piano regularly at St. Matthias Catholic Church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in the St. Louis area. She also played piano and led music concerts for those confined to their homes or facilities in the St. Louis area. She and her late husband, Jim, loved to host Catholic clergy at their long-time home on Lake Montowese in House Springs, Missouri. Her passions included music of all kinds, exploring the outdoors, walking, swimming, playing games and puzzles with her grandchildren, spending time with neighbors, reading, cross-stitching and being an avid dog lover. Family would like to thank The Landing of Long Cove Senior Living Community in Mason, Ohio, the Greater Cincinnati Chapter Alzheimer's Association , and Queen City Hospice of Mason, Ohio, for the professional, compassionate and expert care Catherine received over the last 6 years.
Catherine will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
