Carol Soppeland, 76, Fenton, Missouri; passed away Monday, May 2nd, 2022. Carol was born on December 7th, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Mel and Romana Soppeland. She attended the University of Missouri, Columbia. She later became a Registered Nurse. Carol worked as a Surgical Nurse in the St. Louis area and continued her nursing career after she moved to San Diego, California. Carol returned to St. Louis to assist in the care of her parents. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and always cherished the memories of her California life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mel and Romana Soppeland, and her brother, Frank Herron. She is survived by her brother, Robert Herron Sr., of Fenton Missouri; three nieces, two nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Carol will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A celebration of life will be held at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home. 777 Oakwood (at Hwy 141) in Fenton on June 4th, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of St. Louis will be appreciated.
