Obituary

Carol Lawler, a resident of Satellite Beach, passed away at home surrounded by family on 30 Jan 2024. Carol was pre-deceased by her parents, Edna and Cecil Roark, siblings Ann Cox (Bill), Cleo Bisso (Kenneth), Lorraine Oliver (Ollie), Louis Howard, William Howard (Mary Ann), and Charlotte Westmoreland (Dick), Son Michael Lawler (Julie), and Grandchildren Kerri Ann Newton and Kyle Moore. She is survived by her husband, James C. Lawler, Jr, daughters Cynthia LiCausi, Michelle Land (John) and Cathleen Blair (Larry), 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Carol was born December 7, 1944 to Edna and Cecil Roark in St. Louis, MO. She graduated HS in 1963 and enlisted in the US Navy. She married Jim on March 5, 1966 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, NH. She spent 26 years as a supportive Air Force wife. During these years, Jim and Carol raised 4 children, living in 5 states and 2 countries. Family and Friends are welcome at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 6:00 -8:00 pm and at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N HWY A1A, Indialantic, Florida and on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Maplewood Chapel 7456 Manchester 63143 on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday, February 12th at 10:30 am.
