Obituary

Bradley James Ferguson departed his earthly life on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the age of 66. Brad was the dear son of the late Alfred F. Ferguson and Jeanette C. Ferguson (née Kohlenhoefer), beloved older brother of Susan M. Lemakis (née Ferguson), cherished uncle of Maria C. Lemakis and Angela A. Lemakis, and cousin and friend to many. Born and raised in St. Louis, Mo., Brad's intelligence and incredible talents set him apart beginning at an early age. He was fascinated by science, the solar system and mysteries of the universe, and studied and discussed these topics often. He had a strong spirituality and faith in God. He thrived on adventure and in being challenged to think outside the box. Brad was passionate about music and played the piano by ear, as well as any other instrument he could get his hands on! Brad suffered through many trials in his life, but with a warrior-like strength, he consistently endured situations that seemed impossible to overcome. He always had the backs of his loved ones and supported them unconditionally. He watched out for and protected his little sister, Susan. He stood up for himself and what he believed in, and persevered in fighting for his life until the end. Brad's strong, independent and caring spirit will be missed by many. A private visitation and burial service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to have Masses offered for Brad at Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Mo. by calling the parish office (314-576-5366), or at any other Catholic parish of the donor's choosing. The family also encourages donations to the following organizations: ● Catholic Charities of St. Louis (CCSTL.org) ● Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN.com) ● VOYCE, an organization that speaks up for quality long-term care in the St. Louis area (voycestl.org)
