Betty Mae Murphy (nee Nesbitt) baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection and fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Betty passed into the fullness of eternal life on August 4, 2023. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Charles John Murphy and the dear daughter of Mabel Alma Nesbitt, who also preceded her in death. Loving mother of Mary Colleen Lowe (Dennis) Keller and Timothy Patrick (Debbie) Murphy Cherished grandmother of James Robert Lowe, Richard Charles Lowe, Franklin Joseph (Maggie) Lowe, Diana Elizabeth (Ryan) Marshall, Taylor Makenzie Murphy, Charles Edwin Murphy, Dennis Keith Keller Jr., Rachael Michelle Keller (Jason Schmidt), and Crystal Nicole Keller (Bobby Pankey). Great-grandmother of Irelynn Ann Lowe, Grace Catherine Lowe, Harrison Everett Marshall, Sophia Marie Taylor, Rayne Elizabeth Keller, Levi Wayne Schmidt, Logan Michael Schmidt, and Stetson James Pankey. Dear sister of Anita Weiland, who preceded her in death. Betty was a mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to all. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood. 7456 Manchester Rd., Maplewood, MO 63143. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 7 at 10:00 AM at St. Rita's Catholic Church. 8240 Washington St., St. Louis, MO 63114. Everyone is welcome to the VFW in St. Charles immediately following mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.
