Barbara Carol Scullin, aged 64, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2024, in Hillsboro, MO, after a lengthy battle with dementia. She had a heart of gold that would do without to give to others. She was very patriotic & had a soft spot in her heart for veterans. She was an excellent baker and loved to make your favorite cake for your birthday. She loved spending time with family. She especially enjoyed the affection of her nieces and nephews. She loved to read, particularly romance novels as she was an eternal romantic. Keeping up on Hollywood events and her love of old movies earned her the family nickname of Miss Hollywood. "Barbie" will be greatly missed by all who love her. She is survived by her father, John Scullin, her sisters, Christine Adams, Lorrie Scullin, and Sherrie Kennedy, and her brother, John (Tammie) Scullin, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barb was preceded in death by her mother Sharon Scullin. Services will be on Friday, September 6, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00, followed by the Funeral at noon at Jay B. Smith Funeral Homes at 777 Oakwood, Fenton, MO 63026. Burial will immediately follow the Funeral at Resurrection Cemetery at 6901 Mackenzie Rd, Saint Louis, 63123.
