IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
Boyer
March 8, 1950 – December 11, 2025
Barbara Ann Boyer, age 75, of Fenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born on March 8, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Gilbert and Wanda Goetz.
Barbara was a proud graduate of St. Pius X High School in Festus and later earned her nursing degree from Mercy College in St. Louis. She dedicated 25 years of her life as a registered nurse, where her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit touched countless patients and families. In 2004, she retired from nursing to devote herself fully to caring for her four grandchildren-a role she cherished beyond measure.
On Valentine's Day in 1964, while still in eighth grade, Barbara met the love of her life, Gary Boyer. Their love story grew into a beautiful marriage of 55 years, marked by devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Barbara courageously battled Parkinson's disease for 20 years, and in her final years, Gary remained faithfully by her side, lovingly caring for her with tireless devotion.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Boyer; her children, Jennifer (Patrick) Lupo and Jason (Angela) Boyer; her cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Adrianna, Ashley, and Kayla; her sister, Carolyn (David) Dragoo; her brother, Ron (Carol) Goetz; nieces Shanna and Elisa; nephews Bryan, Scott, Anthony, Greg, Travis, and David; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Among Barbara's greatest blessings were her lifelong friendships of more than 50 years with Judy Cart, her college roommate, and Jean Miller. Their love, loyalty, and constant presence enriched her life immeasurably. They stood beside her through both the joys and the challenges, and were truly an integral part of her life.
Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass on December 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 15 Forest Knoll Drive, Fenton, Missouri 63026. A luncheon reception will follow the service as family and friends gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Barbara Boyer.
In honor of Barbara, the family invites those attending to wear yellow-her favorite color-as a beautiful way to celebrate the light, warmth, and joy she brought into the lives of so many.
