Alfred Leroy Dimmett, 91, born on Monday, September 29, 1930 in Evansville, IN., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Arliss Jeanette Dimmett; Dear son of the late Alfred Washington Dimmett and Beatrice (nee Thompson) Cobb; Loving father of Kathy Stokes of Evansville, IN., Alfred Randall (Christine) Dimmett of Valley City, ND., Angela (John) Burks of Dittmer, MO., Alicia Volz of Fenton, MO. and Alaine Dimmett of Fenton, MO.; Cherished grandfather of Stacie Berry, Crystal Elderbrook, Alfred Randall Dimmett Jr., Nichole Zielke, William Volz, Joseph "Brandon" Messmer; Zachary Dimmett, Crystal Hanewinkle, James Lawson, Rebekah Aldridge, Ciara Akins and Travis Akins; Dear brother of Myron Dimmett, Betsy Logan, Tom Dimmett, Theresa Russell and the late Ronald Dimmett, Joanne Dimmett and Margot Dimmett. Al is a father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, great grandpa and great-great grandpa. A celebration of Al's life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm with full military honors to be held at 7pm
