Suzanne Isabelle Nahrstedt

Suzanne (Sue) Isabelle Nahrstedt (Hawkins), 64, went with the angels on Monday, May 2, 2022. Dear daughter of the late Carol Hawkins (nee Bennett). Loving mother of Carrie (Chris Schaefer) Nahrstedt and Jennifer (Mike) Koziatek. Cherished grandmother of Corey Nahrstedt, Carolyn (Kyle Jacob) Nahrstedt, Adam Koziatek, Megan Koziatek, Ryan Koziatek and the late Jonathon (Jade Fields) Nahrstedt. Great-grandmother of Delilah Nahrstedt. Dear sister of Lori Janey and sister-in-law of the late Darrin Janey. She also leaves behind many extended family and friends. Sue was a caring and generous person who loved spending time with her family. She was very involved in her children's activities growing up and showed the same love & support for her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their sporting events & scout activities. Sue loved animals of all kinds. She volunteered at an animal shelter when her health was better and regularly made donations to various animal rescue organizations. She loved to feed & watch the birds, rabbits and squirrels in her front yard. One of her favorite things to do was watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball, especially with her mom, whom she devoted her last years of life caring for. Sue will be forever missed, but we find comfort and peace knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and the Lord. A celebration of life will be held for Sue on Friday, May 20th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
