Robert Lee King, of Fenton, peacefully passed Sunday, May 1, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was born in St. Louis on October 11, 1938 to the late Marie (Thornton) and John King. Proceeded in death by grandson Jimmy and his siblings Bud, Jack and Patricia. Bob will be remembered by his many accomplishments. Along with a barber career that spanned six decades he was a longstanding member of St. Paul Catholic Church, ushering for 30 years. His love for community was also apparent by volunteering for 30 years as a firefighter for Springdale Fire District and 20 year board member, coach of the Fenton Khoury League. Aside from his family and friends, he loved; traveling, fishing, sports and watching westerns. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Shirlene (Wibbenmeyer) of Fenton; daughter Julie Hart and husband Jim of Fenton; daughter Clarice Moise and husband Jules of Colleyville, TX; the grandchildren he loved, Jason (partner Christina) Hart, Nicole (David) Iannacone, Ashley (Micheal) Okinaka, Jordan (Bethany) Moise and Emily Gunter; his adored great grandchildren Athena and Dahlia Iannacone; several loving nieces, nephews and cousins and an abundance of Breckinridge Hills, Perryville, and St. Louis friends. Visitation will be held at Jay B Smith Funeral Home in Fenton on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 3pm-8pm. A funeral mass will be at 10am on Monday, May 9, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Fenton.
