Peggy J. O'Brien

November 15, 1940 - April 23, 2022

Peggy Joyce O'Brien November 15, 1940 -April 23, 2022 Imperial, MO Our dear Peggy J. O'Brien, died unexpectedly on April 23, 2022, at Mercy Heart Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born November 15, 1940. She was the second daughter born to the late Reginald Joseph O'Brien and the late Eva Miller-O'Brien. Peggy graduated from Saint Alphonsus Rock High School and had a long career working for the United States Postal Service. Peggy was a devout Catholic and attended church services daily. Her Catholic faith was strong, and her church was her second home. Peggy was a strong advocate for the unborn, and despite recovering from cancer at that time, she traveled to Washington D.C. to promote this very important cause! Peggy's kindness extended beyond the Catholic Church. She donated and supported many needy organizations. Her generosity was felt by every person that knew her. Her funny laugh, smile, her expressions and her heart so full of love left this world a better place. She most certainly set an example to all of us how to live our lives. In addition to her parents', she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kay O'Brien. Peggy is survived by Delores Ann (Ken) Woods, Michael Joseph (Mary) O'Brien, David Reginald (Mary) O'Brien, Sharon C. (Paul) Rhodes, Regina Elaine (William) Durst, Stephen Patrick (Jean), (the late Cheryl) O'Brien, Linda Christine O'Brien (Joseph), Patricia Marie (John) Shannon, Kathleen Annette McCulloch, Elizabeth Susan (Glenn) Cheng. Peggy had many nieces and nephews. She cherished every one of them and never missed sending her love on their birthdays. In Lieu of flowers Peggy would appreciate donations in her honor to Pro Life through the Catholic Church Services and to Feed My People. So, every time you see red roses ... think of Peggy! They were always her favorite flowers! Then, take a moment, and know for certain our dearest Peggy is watching over all of us! We will miss you dreadfully until we meet again! God bless your sweet soul! Please join us for a Celebration of Life visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 9:00am followed by mass at 10:00am.
