Kirstin Therese Gentemann

August 5, 1974 - January 17, 2022

The family of Kirstin Therese Gentemann celebrate her life and honor her memory following her passing on January 17, 2022 in Fenton, Missouri. Kirstin was born on August 5, 1974, in West Chicago, Illinois, and is survived by the joys of her life, daughters Julia and Corinne Gentemann; her loving parents, Klaus and Eileen Bopp; her brother and best friend Christopher Bopp; and beloved family pets Banana Pop Tart, Mini, Fishstick, and Joey. Kirstin graduated with honors from West Chicago High School in 1992 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Quincy University in 1996. She was the first recipient of the distinguished Senior Chemist Award at Quincy University, as well as being a Presidential Scholar. She received her Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Washington University in 1998, graduating Summa Cum Laude with the highest honors in the field of Chemistry. She was a brilliant chemist and shared her talents at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis from September 1999 to December 2008. Kirstin was a devoted and loving mother. She nurtured her daughters’ love of learning and prized her time in teaching them in a home school setting. She was a gifted seamstress and affectionately made unique and special clothing and costumes for her daughters and close friends. She was a positive role model and mentored others, valuing everyone in her life. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and spoke warmly of each member of the Troop. She was selfless in all that she did and had a heart of gold. She shared her time and talents to inspire and encourage others to be their best selves. Kirstin’s life and presence will remain strong through those she loved and in the lives of those who treasured her friendship. Her greatest achievement was in the relationships she leaves behind and in the cherished memories that made her so exceptionally special.
