Clarence "Gene" Watson

June 19, 1947 - January 29, 2022

Clarence "Gene" Watson, 74, graduated to Heaven on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Beloved husband for 53 years of Gerry Watson (nee Stover). Loving father of Terry (Gina) Watson, David (Linda) Watson, Jarod (Tiffany) Watson and the late Lucas Watson. Father-in-law of Alyssa (Neil Yochim) Watson. Cherished grandfather of Katie (Craig) Casey, Joseph Watson, Brandon (Katie) Watson, Desiree (Koleby) Pace, Jewelly Watson, Dakota Watson, Kenadee Watson, Brianna Watson, Logan Payne, Ellie Watson Elijah Watson and great-grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Sharon (Pat) Thielemier, Barbara (Rudy) Zosso, Ricky (Darlene) Watson and Cheryl Watson. Father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. Gene proudly served his country in the Army for 6 years and the National Guard for 14. Around him there was never a dull moment. He was friendly to everyone and loved to entertain. You could always find him sharing a story or two from his past. Gene enjoyed being outdoors, hunting for deer and fishing. He was very talented and handy. If you gave him a project, rest assured, it would be completed to perfection. Gene was a loving and faithful husband. He often told Gerry how much he loved and appreciated her. It was a love that was steadfast and true. Gene would truly be described as a good and faithful servant. His love for the Lord was that of simple faith. He was obedient and trusting in the Heavenly Father always. He will be dearly missed by his adoring wife, children, grandchildren and his church family. Visitation will be on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:30am at New Hope Fellowship Church, 5919 Antire Rd., High Ridge, MO 63049. Service will be at 11:30am. Lunch at 12:15. We will leave for Jefferson Barack’s National Cemetery at 1:30pm Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
