Christopher Jay Deaton, Baptized into the hope of Christ resurrection on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Beloved son of Joseph Kent Deaton and the late Patricia Marie (nee Schaeffer) Deaton Loving father of Nicholas Deaton and Zachary Deaton. Loving Brother of Michael, Kevin, Stephen (Michelle), Lynette (Bradley) Lehmann and Scott (Deanna) Deaton. Dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Chris loved his family and was always willing to help out with odd jobs around the house. From installing a light to building shelves, he could do it all. He loved golf. Every Wednesday, so long as it was above sixty degrees, you could find him on the golf course. His best work may have been in the kitchen where he would bake delicious pies and cookies. Everyone always looked forward to Byrd’s pies. Funeral Mass, Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12 Ann Ave. Valley Park, MO 63088.
