Obituary

Brooks C. Haynie, 57, went with the angels on March 15, 2020. Dear son of Edwin and Harriet June Haynie. Loving brother of Thomas (Carol) Haynie and half-brother to Diana. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. Brooks biggest passion was a love of music and guitars. He was an avid collector of music and guitars. He enjoyed all types of music from contemporary to classic rock. In his younger years enjoyed playing tennis, watching tennis when he could and a big Cardinals fan. Brooks was also an avid reader. He cared for his mother in her final years. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 2-5pm with a service at 4:00pm at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 777 Oakwood Dr. Fenton, MO. Family and friend are encouraged to bring a memory to share at the service. The criteria for visitation at Jay B. Smith is a follows: We will allow 50 people in the facility while practicing social distancing. Mask are requested to be worn while in the facility, but not required. We will have them available for your use. The family will be having an additional gathering with social distancing starting at 5:30 at the Post Bar and Grill, 568 Old Smizer Mill Rd. (636) 600-9090. It is located in the Dierbergs Fenton Crossing shopping center. Some appetizers and buckets of beer will be provided. Mask are not required. Inform the staff you are with the Haynie gathering and they will direct you. Memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
