Lynn Corinne Barlar (nee Ashcraft), 74, from Maplewood, MO, passed away on June 15, 2024, at St Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO surrounded by family. Dear daughter of the late Lucille E (Schaeffer) and Raymond L Ashcraft A dear mother to son, Kurt Barlar of Richmond Heights, MO and daughter, Kelli Macomber (Barlar) and husband Kevin Macomber of Arnold, MO. Grandmother to Brandon Jennemann, Connor Jennemann, Makaela Macomber and Cody Macomber. Great Grandmother to Damien Macomber, Naevia Mccomb, Dominic Mccomb, Castiel Macomber and Harley Macomber. Dear sister to Sharon Stecher, aunt to Paul Stecher, great aunt to Ian Stecher, and many cousins. She loved her family dearly; however, her passion was for music, live music and blues. She was a longtime volunteer for KDHX, The St Louis Blues Society, The National Blues Musuem. She assisted with events at BB's Jazz Blues & Soups, St Louis Mardi Gras, and many Local St Louis music venues as well as the VP Fair. She served on the Board of the St Louis Blues Society. She was most happy doing these things and being able to share her love of St Louis and music with family, friends and the community, it brought her such joy. She meant so much to our family, friends and the community and will be missed dearly by all. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 456 Manchester Rd, Maplewood, MO 63143 Visitation prior to the Funeral Service Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with Funeral beginning 2:00 PM at Jay B.
